On initial contact, Michael and Daniel will arrange a time with you to visit your block and discuss your ideas, goals and aspirations for your home. We want to intimately understand your aesthetic goals, functionality requirements and personal must-haves. Setting ourselves apart from other building companies, your climate responsive home is curated individually for you. With this understanding, our in-house team work together to produce a unique, initial concept that merges your vision and your block with consideration to sustainability and passive design. Once an initial concept has been created, we meet with you again in our office for a collaborative feedback session where we tweak and change the design, offer solutions and alternatives before making sure we have a solid concept to move towards the construction process. We encourage open and honest communication throughout the entire process and are here to work with you to create your dream home.
Once we have arrived at your perfect design we begin to arrange planning approval and engineer sign off so we can get to work creating your home. Continual communication with our design team is encouraged, if you have any concerns or last minute thoughts on changes to your plans, this is where we iron them out for you. This is the stage where we refine the price for your build based on our standard inclusions and your design.
Another unique part of the Mirage experience is a set of consultations with Interior Design Studio, Fabrikate. Kate and her team will meet with you to work through material selections for the palette of your home where you can truly incorporate your personal aesthetic. Following your first Fabrikate appointment, you will also meet with other suppliers to make your additional home selections. When you get to this process, we will reach out to supply your documentation to our suppliers so they are across your brief, and will then provide you with their contact information so you can make your appointments. Following your selection appointments, you will have another session with the Fabrikate team to review your joinery package and placement of your selected materials to ensure your palette and aesthetic is just as you wish for your home. If your selections vary from our standard Mirage inclusions, we will issue a Variation notice to the contract price to adjust for any potential price difference.
With your selections and variations completed, Alecia revises your drawings and gets them ready for construction. Once planning approval has been received from your council, Mirage orders the last few insurances and issue final building contracts. When your land is ready, contracts signed and finance approval is in place, construction will commence.
We will keep you up to date during the build and hope you are able to take the time to visit the site at key milestones. To arrange a site visit, touch base with the team in the office and we can arrange for Steve or Craig to meet you there and walk you through safely.
At the completion of your build, final payments are made and we hand over the keys to your brand new Mirage home. As part of our service, we arrange for a maintenance visit to your home 3 months after completion to check on any maintenance.
